Transport Planner
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £34000/annum
Company based near Heathrow has the following position to fill, this is a Monday to Friday role with rotating shifts:
Earlies – 7-30am – 4-30pm /Mid Shift: 09-30am – 19-30 /Lates: 11.00am – 19-30/20.00 • 1 hour for lunch • 40 working week. • On-Call every 3rd Week
Purpose the of the Role:
To ensure smooth running of the transport operations to meet customer/s demand. • Coordinate driver/s and truck movements to meet customer demands. • Utilization of driver/vehicle fleet to maximize profitability. • Organize, update, and maintain databases for operational activities. • To support the business by completing administration functions • Must be a team Player
Key Tasks:
Control all transport fleet including, driver/vehicle coordination to best meet customer demands. • Control and liaise directly with customers via telephone, email and other communication means with updates on deliveries and collections. • Liaise with customers with pricing and other necessary information. • Control and maintain security at all times of all incoming/outgoing daily mail including courier consignments. • Control and manage vehicle operations to meet compliance with legal driver’s hours & regulations. • General administration support – Data Entry • Deliver individual and departmental KPI’s. • The Company reserves the right to vary or amend the duties and responsibilities of the post holder at any time according to the needs of the Company’s business.

Experience in Transport Management • AVSEC – CO Trained
