Warehouse operative – Lithographic Print Assistant
Job Type : Temporary, Full Time
Salary : £10.30 – £12.36/hour Training provided
Staffline is recruiting on behalf of one of the largest print and packaging companies in Europe. The company is based in Aylesford and would suit anyone who has previous experience in the print industry.
Your Time at Work
Whilst working as a Lithographic Print Assistant your main responsibilities would be :
– Locating/clearing away of materials, job bags, inks and plates required for specific jobs to/from print machine by means of hand operated and electric pallet trucks
– Assist with wash up on printing press as required
– Provide feeder-end cover for machine operators during periods of absence or as otherwise directed
– Strip down pallet wrappings and use binding machine to dispose of correctly
– Prepare material as directed by the operators or Print Manager
– Utilisation of the pile-turner(s) where necessary to assist with material preparation
– Completion of administration, including using IMS systems as necessary
– Empty bins of waste into compactor / open top bins
– Removal of chemical waste for collection
– General housekeeping including tidying up of the department
– Any other duties as request the machine operators or a member of the management team

Ability to remain calm under pressure. Confident and enthusiastic with a desire to learn and develop through continuous training. Good communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills. Experience of working within the packaging/greetings cards sector an advantage
