Waterway Operative

Salary : £10.50/hour
We are looking to recruit a Waterway Operative for our client based in the Macclesfield area. Shift Work – 4 on 4 off – and nights.
Immediate starts available.
Based on the Toddbrook Reservoir
Managing the water control on both canals
Assisting the local operations team with vegetation and maintenance works
Based on the Peak Forest and Macclesfield Canals and associated reservoirs
Managing the water control on both canals
Assisting the local operations team with vegetation and maintenance works
Managing water levels during weather events at Toddbrook Reservoir
12 hour shifts 4 on 4 off – this includes night shift working, so it’s 4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights on.
Full training and PPE provided – no specific skills required, just the ability to be flexible and reactive and work within
Driving licence required, must be able to get to site or base in own vehicle. Company vehicles available to move between sites to carry out tasks
