Weekend Chef
We are looking for chefs that can use their own initiative and although supported by our own team, be able to work with minimal intervention.
Location: Northampton
Sector: Healthcare
Shifts: 08:00am – 16:30pm or 09:00am – 17:30pm
Duration: 4 months potentially longer
Pay rate:
Saturdays: £16.50 PAYE Holiday inclusive
Sundays: £19.86 PAYE Holiday inclusive
Basic rate: £12.00 PAYE Holiday inclusive
Main Duties
* Competent in fresh cook style service for approx. 300 covers per day
* Work within a team to ensure jobs are completed for the day
* Putting away deliveries
* Possibility of food orders, dependant on the role you are placed into i.e head chef/chef manager
* Adhering to all relevant health and safety requirements
* Cooking nutritious food within requirements
* Ensure a clean as you go policy is being always operated
* Experience ideally within Healthcare or Education (This is not essential)
Requirements and skills:
* Level 1 Food Hygiene & Food Allergen training
* Great communication and teamwork skills
* Level 2 food hygiene certificate
* Ability to work under pressure
