Position Summary
Due to an increased level of business opportunity we are looking to engage a skilled / experienced site welder on a Temporary to Permanent basis. The role will involve the welding of the likes of the following, corroded and worn through body work, sacrificial plates, broken ram and strut mounts, chassis etc. You will be skilled and experienced in the use of MMA and the welding of carbon steel. MiG experience a distinct advantage
You will be able to commute to our various clients in and around the York area on a daily basis and have a good work ethic and an exceptional eye for detail.
Please note that due to the nature of the role some work may have to be carried out in the open air
Person Profile/Experience:
Superb opportunity to work with a well-respected/established local engineering company with the opportunity for consistent work within a small but dedicated team of likeminded engineers. You will have a minimum of 2 years welding experience and have multi run/positional capability. Proof of ability is more important than previous coding, as is work ethic and attitude.
You will be a strong team player but have the confidence to work alone to exacting standards when required.
You will be able to drive and hold a current full driving license with no more than 6 points, be flexible re working hours and be able to commence work within the next 2-6 weeks
Key Criteria:
Minimum of 2 years welding experience, MMA and MiG
Multi run and positional
Must have an exceptional eye for detail and be able to work to exacting standards
Hold a current full driving license
Should be prepared to work in multiple locations and both outdoors and undercover
Good sense of humour and be able to work alone as well as part of a team
Reliable and punctual with a good sense of humour
