Workshop Engineer in Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping Industry – Hertfordshire circa £30k
Annual Salary £30,000 dependant on qualifications, skills
A qualified and experienced engineer is required for our onsite workshop in Stevenage area. The successful candidate must be proficient in the following:
Service, repair and maintenance
Hand held petrol driven machinery i.e. strimmers, blowers, hedge cutters, chainsaws
Pedestrian equipment rotor and pedestrian mowers
Ride on mowers i.e. Toro (LT4240/LT3340) 5 unit and 3 unit
Ride on flails(LT3000)
Iseki highlift collectors
Tractor attachments
Side arm flails
Batwing flails
Batwing rotary mowers
Tractor trailed gang mowers (TM749)
Vehicle trailers
Minor repairs to vehicle accessories, i.e. bulbs, wing mirrors
Essential skills
Operation of workshop machinery i.e., abrasive wheels – cylinder grinders hand held and bench grinders, pressurised air receivers, welding operations and use of gas cylinders
Manitou operation, loading and unloading deliveries to depot
Maintain computerised records, service history
Stock ordering and managing stock levels
Good communication skills
Full clean driving license with trailer towing category
Other
Undertake mobile assistance to attend to machine breakdownsin Hertfordshire, Luton areas
DBS check will be undertaken in-house
Emergency First Aid, training can be arranged
Extended working hours if required
